The Lehigh Valley with Love / Weyerbacher / Turning Point Logo Beer Winner is… Kelcie Kosberg for ‘Compassion Double IPA’

Posted On June 16, 2020 By lvwithlove In Blog, Contest /

Congratulations to Kelcie Kosberg Warmkessel, the winner of our “Name Our Beer” contest in conjunction with Weyerbacher Brewing Company to benefit Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley.

Kelcie’s design, “Compassion Double IPA” won out of more than a dozen submissions. The decision wasn’t easy, Kelcie’s design incorporated what many of us are trying to convey during these uncertain times.

Kelcie will receive a $100 cash prize from Lehigh Valley with Love and a gift certificate from Weyerbacher.

Join us for our release party on June 24!

Compassion Double IPA is a West Coast Double IPA brewed with white wheat, oats, Zappa hops and passion fruit puree. Floral, passion fruit, dried apricot, and a pine resin hop-bite. Zappa hops, named after Frank Zappa, are a North American native variety, recovered form, the wilds of New Mexico.

“Compassion Double IPA” will be unveiled for your tasting pleasure on Wednesday, June 24 at 4 p.m. at Weyerbacher Brewing Company 905 Line Street, Easton PA. Proceeds from Compassion Double IPA will go to help Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley.

Turning Point is a safe place where survivors of domestic and intimate partner abuse and their children can find refuge. We provide services in Lehigh and Northampton counties and reach nearly 2,600 people a year through our programs and services. Those include: a 24-hour Helpline, Emergency Safe House, Empowerment Counseling, Empowerment Groups, Legal Advocacy, Outreach Education, and Medical Advocacy.
