Snapchat has always been a bit difficult for smaller businesses to utilize on a regular basis due to its limited organic reach, 24-hour limit of content on the platform, and difficulty to directly connect with users.
At least one of those problems, connecting directly with users, has crumbled a little with the introduction of user-created links for Snapchat posts.
When you log into Snapchat, you’ll see a few new tools located on the top right after you take a Snap. The paper clip icon allows users to attach a URL to their snap. Just click it and enter the destination. When friends swipe up on your Snap, it’ll open to the link in the app’s internal browser.
Other updates include fun voice filters (which you’ll see at the bottom left after you take a video Snap) and some colorful backgrounds that make for creative snaps.
