“Likes” will go down in history as one of the most sought after abstract items of all time.
Whether it’s your small business getting more likes on a post than ever before, or the latest Instagram model surpassing 4 million likes and getting paid by a sponsor, the idea of social media “likes” is familiar to many.
Anyone who uses Facebook Messenger has sent a message they didn’t want to at least once.
I know a guy who does it a few times a day.
Not all jobs are created equal and not all work environments are the same. I’ve known many people who thrive in the traditional 9-5 cubicle stereotype à la the movie “Office Space.” I’ve seen others only work up to their full potential by working remotely.
The fun and festive Bethlehem Christmas Toss for Charity was held on December 15 at 12 p.m. at More Miles Automotive, 1458 Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem, PA and it made national social media news!

BETHLEHEM, PA (November 27, 2018) – The fun and festive Bethlehem Christmas Toss for Charity will be held on December 15 at 12 p.m. at More Miles Automotive, 1458 Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem, PA.
The original event was first held in 2002 when then Meineke Car Care owner Peter Kearns challenged Mike DeCrosta, currently of More Miles Automotive, to a contest. The resulting yearly tradition became something of a bizarre, but wildly popular, way to celebrate the holiday season. Peter Kearns passed away in 2016.
The event originally ended in 2013 after Kearns retired, but was revived in 2015 at the behest of fans and former participants.
“Pete is the one who came up with this wonderful idea and made sure that it was always in the spirit of raising money for charity,” DeCrosta said. “We want to continue to honor him by holding the event in his name.”
More Miles Automotive, in conjunction with Lehigh Valley with Love Media, will host the ‘Peter Kearns Memorial Christmas Tree Toss’ with proceeds going to Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley. The public is encouraged to attend and throw Christmas trees for distance in an effort to not only raise money, but also to vie for prizes from Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub, Lehigh Valley Sports Tickets, Machs Gute Pub and Lehigh Pizza, among others.
Local dignitaries will also be invited to attend and participate in the event. More than 50 attendees threw Christmas trees a variety of distances last year, including children, who have their own mini tree to throw.
Donations of $5 per throw are encouraged. However, donations of all amounts are accepted and can be made in person at the event or by mailing a donation payable to Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley ℅ More Miles Automotive 1458 Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem, PA.
