Lehigh may not get a real College GameDay on campus, but we almost have the next best thing: college football YouTuber Bordeaux took the Mountain Hawks through a 10-year rebuild in College Football 27, wore the Lehigh gear and put Bethlehem in front of more than 180,000 viewers.
That is a pretty good Saturday in South Bethlehem.
The challenge moves Lehigh from the FCS to the FBS level and gives Bordeaux 10 seasons to build a national champion. What follows is a full alternate-universe Mountain Hawks experience: a climb from a tiny budget and rough roster to wins over Penn State and Notre Dame, a 99-overall team and a shot at the playoff.
Did Lehigh win it all? Not quite. The final-season run ends with a season-ending interception, but he got Lehigh that close. The clip below starts as Bordeaux introduces that loaded 99-overall team and the playoff push.
The only thing the digital rebuild forgot was the most Lehigh ending possible: sending the field goal posts into the river. That part happened in real life after Lehigh beat Lafayette in 2024, when the uprights made their way from Goodman Stadium to the Lehigh River.
Hopefully this is in next year’s game.
