Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc. is seeking qualified consultants to develop and manage a new D&L Trail Interactive Map, a digital tool intended to support navigation, trip planning, and engagement across the regional trail network.
The Easton-based nonprofit has released a Request for Proposals for consultants with experience building interactive mapping systems for large trails, heritage areas, websites, and mobile applications. The selected consultant will work with DLNHC’s Trails & Conservation Coordinator, a project steering committee, and stakeholder focus groups throughout the process.
Interested consultants can review the full RFP, submit questions, and upload proposal materials through DLNHC’s website. Written questions are due by 4 p.m. May 8, 2026, and proposals must be submitted by 4 p.m. May 22, 2026. DLNHC expects to review proposals from May 25 to June 5, conduct interviews in June, and begin the project on June 29, 2026.
DLNHC preserves the historic transportation route that once carried coal and iron from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol. Today, the organization connects communities to nature, culture, recreation, and industrial heritage through the D&L Trail, National Canal Museum, St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest, Get Your Tail on the Trail, and other programs.
