SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival returns for its 13th year

Posted On December 16, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

ArtsQuest is bringing back the SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival for its 13th year, turning Bethlehem’s SteelStacks campus into two packed days of fast, unscripted comedy. The festival runs Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24, 2026, featuring improvisational teams from across the region and around the country.

This year’s headliners highlight two very different takes on improv. Friday’s top-billed show is Connor Ratliff presents The Acting Class, a one-person improv performance framed as an acting class from the creator of the Dead Eyes podcast. Saturday’s headliner is Opening Night: The Improvised Musical!, a fully made-up Broadway-style musical built live from audience suggestions, meaning no two shows are ever the same.

Saturday’s post-headliner, BARKO, adds a physical, slapstick edge to the weekend. The trio of Nick Gillette, Pim Van, and Sam Miller leans into everyday routines and turns them into carefully crafted chaos onstage.

Beyond the spotlight performances, ArtsQuest says the festival will include 39 improv teams, with groups coming from the Lehigh Valley and major comedy scenes including New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Pittsburgh.

Two-day passes and single-day passes are on sale now. The event is recommended for ages 13 and up, and attendees ages 13–17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
