Dan Tepfer Performs Inventions/Reinventions in Bethlehem Fundraiser Concert

Posted On September 30, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

The Bach Choir of Bethlehem will host acclaimed pianist Dan Tepfer for Inventions/Reinventions on Saturday, October 4, at 5 p.m. at Bethlehem’s Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest. The event includes a concert, dinner, and fundraiser supporting the Choir’s youth education and community engagement programs.

Tepfer, celebrated for his innovative projects blending classical and contemporary styles, will interweave Bach’s Two-Part Inventions with his own improvisations in the “missing” keys, creating a 24-key journey through tradition and reinvention. The program offers a fresh conversation with Bach’s music while showcasing Tepfer’s bold, modern voice at the keyboard.

The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m., followed by the concert at 5:45 p.m. and a three-course dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $225 (plus a $5 handling fee), which includes a $75 charitable contribution. Proceeds benefit the Bach Choir’s mission to inspire and educate through transformative musical experiences.
