Founded in 1976, Godfrey Daniels has become one of the nation’s longest-running nonprofit listening rooms, known for its intimate 80-seat space and its commitment to presenting local, regional, national, and international artists. The 50th season celebrates that legacy while looking ahead to what comes next.
The anniversary lineup also includes the 50th Anniversary Series Live at the IceHouse in Bethlehem. The first announced show is Bakithi Kumalo & The South African All Stars on March 21, 2026. More artists for the July 10, September 11, and October 16 dates are still to come. TICKETS
“We’re celebrating more than an anniversary,” said Ramona LaBarre, Managing Director of Godfrey Daniels. “For 50 years, Godfrey Daniels has been a place where people gather to truly listen — to music, to stories, and to one another. This Jubilee reflects where we’ve been and looks boldly ahead to the next 50 years.”
Over five decades, Godfrey Daniels has hosted thousands of performances and become a beloved home for artists and audiences alike. Its impact reaches far beyond its walls, supporting generations of musicians, strengthening community connections, and preserving a vital part of the region’s cultural fabric.
“The 50th Jubilee is a milestone not just for Godfrey Daniels, but for the entire Lehigh Valley,” said Dave Fry, Founder of Godfrey Daniels. “It reflects the power of community-supported arts spaces and the lasting role Godfrey Daniels continues to play in our cultural life.”
Campbell and Williams bring plenty of history of their own to the Jubilee stage. Musical and life partners since 1986, the pair are widely respected in American roots music circles for their work together and alongside artists including Levon Helm and Bob Dylan. Their appearance gives the anniversary event the kind of depth and credibility that fits a venue with Godfrey Daniels’ legacy.
At 50, Godfrey Daniels is not slowing down. Not bad energy for a 50-year-old.
