Good Shepherd Rehabilitation has appointed Thea Burke, DNP, RN, NE-BC, as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. She will lead nursing and patient-care operations across the network.
Burke brings more than 30 years of experience in nursing leadership, hospital operations and system transformation, along with prior service as a Major in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She previously held senior roles at UofL Health, Jefferson Health, Tower Health and Penn Medicine.
Her academic background includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University, a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She also completed executive education at The Wharton School.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, headquartered in Allentown, serves eight counties with inpatient, pediatric, LTACH and long-term care services, plus more than 20 outpatient and physician clinics and partnerships across the Lehigh Valley and the greater Philadelphia region.
