Family FUN-A-PALOOZA 2025 Returns to Zoellner Arts Center

Posted On September 25, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University is bringing back its popular Family FUN-A-PALOOZA on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The day of festivities will feature free activities, treats, and giveaways from community partners including PBS39, Just Born, and Crayola, along with special appearances from Ziggy the Zoellner Zebra, a Halloween costume dance party, and wellness activities presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

The centerpiece of the day is Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!, a family-friendly stage show based on Mo Willems’ award-winning picture book. Produced by TheaterWorksUSA, with script and lyrics by Willems and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, the musical brings the beloved Pigeon to life in a fast-paced, song-filled performance. The show begins at noon in Baker Hall. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for children, and free for Lehigh students.

The play, commissioned by the Kennedy Center and first staged in 2019, follows the Pigeon’s hilarious attempt to prove he can handle big responsibilities—like driving a bus. With a 60-minute runtime and no intermission, it’s designed to delight children and families alike.

Family FUN-A-PALOOZA opens its doors at 10 a.m., offering a chance to connect with local organizations, enjoy hands-on activities, and take part in a family series sneak peek. The celebration wraps up at 1:30 p.m.

Tickets and details are available through the Zoellner Arts Center box office: https://zoellner.cas.lehigh.edu/content/dont-let-pigeon-drive-bus-musical-family-fun
