On Saturday, December 13, 2025, as dusk settles over Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley, more than 4,000 homes are expected to glow with the warm light of luminaria. An estimated 100,000 candlelit bags will line sidewalks and driveways for Luminaria Night 2025, a community tradition that supports neighbors facing poverty, hunger, and homelessness through New Bethany.
Historic Bethlehem’s Blacksmith Shop Plans Festive 2025 Holiday Season
Historic Bethlehem’s 1750/1761 Smithy will take center stage in the 2025 holiday season with expanded dates, longer hours and new activities aimed at drawing visitors to Main Street and enhancing the charm of the Christmas City.
For 2025, the Smithy will feature a festive makeover with flame-flicker-style lighting, holiday greens, illuminated trees and a vintage carriage photo backdrop for family photos and selfies. Outside, gas fire pits and solar lighting will create a welcoming atmosphere, while weekend children’s activities such as weaving and tin punching add hands-on fun.

North Whitehall Township will kick off the season on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with the 5th Annual North Whitehall Township Tree Lighting Ceremony at Kolapechka Park (4075 Coffeetown Road). The celebration runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:45 p.m. The event is presented by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce in partnership with North Whitehall Township.

The Allentown Rescue Mission’s Clean Team Workforce has selected Antoine T. as its November Employee of the Month.
Antoine first came to the Mission in 2014 after unexpected circumstances left him without stable housing. He completed the Mission’s Transformation Program, which prepared him for transitional employment on the Clean Team Workforce. After several months with the Clean Team, he secured a job in the community and moved forward independently.
