Pocono Chamber Honors Women Leaders at 2025 Women in Business Awards Reception

Posted On November 21, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

The Pocono Chamber of Commerce, a partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, celebrated outstanding women leaders and emerging talent at its Women in Business Awards Reception on November 18, 2025, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The annual event recognizes women who are making a measurable impact throughout Monroe County, from small business owners to educators, health professionals, and nonprofit leaders.

A central feature of the evening was the Women in Business Scholarship, which honors a Monroe County student committed to learning, empowering others, and serving the community. This year’s scholarship was awarded to Katelynn Martini, a senior at Pleasant Valley High School and a culinary student at Monroe Career and Technical Institute, who plans to continue her education at Northampton Community College.

The 2025 Woman in Business Award recognizes a female leader who inspires other women to reach their full potential and demonstrates excellence and initiative personally and professionally. Nominees represented a wide range of industries, including health care, higher education, real estate, media, banking, counseling, the arts, and hospitality.

This year’s Woman in Business Award was presented to Tanya Johnson of Trademarked Fitness Studio. A first-generation Caribbean American, Johnson holds dual master’s degrees in marketing and management and is a tenured professor at Kingsborough Community College (CUNY). After experiencing a profound personal loss and navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, she turned to fitness and began offering online Zumba classes that built a strong, supportive community. In 2023, she opened her in-person studio, creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental, family-like atmosphere for individuals pursuing their health goals.

Through events like the Women in Business Awards Reception, the Pocono Chamber of Commerce continues its mission to drive economic growth and support businesses of all sizes across Monroe County, while fostering leadership that strengthens the broader region.
