PAPR Entertainment and Genii Pictures are bringing a night of indie film, music, and weird creative energy to Emmaus Theatre.
One Night Only: A (Not So Secret) Private Screening will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Emmaus Theatre, 19 South 4th Street in Emmaus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
The free event features three Pennsylvania premieres from local and indie minority filmmakers:
“Whoa!” by Hustlemann Films follows two friends looking for work who end up on the wrong side of a very strange turf war. The film comes from African American writer, director, composer, and indie filmmaker Jase Cook.
“Why Me?” by Genii Pictures is a light romantic comedy from Costa Rican director Adrian Zumbado, who was born in Costa Rica, raised in Allentown, and now works out of Orlando. The film follows a trio of dreamers and moochers looking to reconnect at their chill spot, the Maraschino.
“Songs About Ghosts” is the first short film from the newly formed PAPR Entertainment, created by John and Miguel in Allentown. The short mixes storytelling, music, sadness, humor, spooky moments, and surreal retro video style.
The evening will also include live music and comedy performances throughout the night, with Anabellie Feliz, Jase Cook, DPBC, and Godilla.
Admission is free. Donations are accepted but not required. B.Y.O.B.
