Hellertown Historical Society Seeks Colonial Artisans for Heritage Day 2026

The Hellertown Historical Society is looking for additional colonial-period artisans and demonstrators to take part in Heritage Day 2026, scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Hellertown. The annual event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will take place at Grist Mill Park and the nearby Michael Heller Homestead as part of an expanded footprint for this year’s celebration.

Hellertown Historical Society Hosts Special Screening of The Fries Rebellion

History buffs and film enthusiasts alike are invited to a special screening of The Fries Rebellion, an acclaimed short film exploring the 1798–1799 Pennsylvania tax revolt that took place across Northampton, Bucks, and Montgomery counties. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. in the Hellertown Historical Society’s Tavern venue, located in the lower level of the historic Heller-Wagner Grist Mill at 170 West Walnut Street, Hellertown, PA. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Hellertown’s Heller-Wagner Grist Mill Site Added to National Register of Historic Places

The Hellertown Historical Society (HHS) has announced that the Heller-Wagner Grist Mill, located at 150 West Walnut Street in Hellertown, has been officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The recognition, confirmed by the National Park Service in August 2025, honors the site’s cultural, architectural, and historical significance dating back to the mid-1700s.
