Is Your Lehigh Valley Team Using Slack? It Should Be

Posted On June 10, 2016 By lvwithlove In Blog /

Effective, smooth, real-time, and verbose communication is key when it comes to getting things done in the current work climate. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hair salon, book store, bar and restaurant, or a boutique new media company like us, without proper communication between employees, things don’t get done and blame gets pointed all around.

Sure, email isn’t going anywhere and Facebook messaging has wormed its way from personal to professional conversations, but for real work communication, you can’t really get any better than Slack.

slack2Slack is an all-in-one messaging platform accessible on the web or app. It puts all conversations in proper channels. For example, if you have multiple clients, you can have a channel for each client.

Each conversation in that channel only pertains to that client. Or you could have channels for finance, for people who are closing up for the night, for events, etc. The list is literally endless.

Your team has it’s own Slack account and every member has their own individual account. They can privately message each other or contribute to the public channel. It’s not only a fantastic place to catch up on what needs to be done, but it’s also the perfect avenue to chat with coworkers when needed. Not on Facebook messenger. Not through text.

You can share links, pics, videos, email snippets, audio files. It’s… I really don’t understand how most small businesses couldn’t benefit from this platform.

And to think, we were once laughed at for suggesting a company used it 🙂

Leave us your questions below or give us your experiences.

We’re Slack fanboys and not afraid to say it.
