Easton Farmers Market Hosts Community Food Drive to Support Local Pantries on Dec. 20

Posted On December 19, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /  1

Easton Farmers Market is inviting the community to help stock local pantry shelves with a Community Food Drive on Saturday, December 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The collection tent will be set up at Scott Park along the Riverfront in downtown Easton, near the Larry Holmes statue, making it easy for marketgoers to drop off donations while they shop.

The drive is organized by Easton City Council Member Crystal Rose, in partnership with the Easton Farmers Market and local volunteers. Donations will be equally distributed to ProJeCt of Easton’s Food Pantry, helping families access nutritious food during the holiday season.

What to bring

Donors are encouraged to contribute:

  • Fresh produce

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Grocery store gift cards

Shoppers can also support families using SNAP by contributing to the market’s SNAP token program, which helps recipients purchase food directly from market vendors.

Rose thanked the Easton Farmers Market for providing space and acknowledged volunteers and local leaders for helping spread the word. The event also marks the last market date before the Christmas holiday, offering one more chance to shop local and give back in a practical way.

For more information, contact Crystal Rose at crose@easton-pa.gov or 610-462-9050.
