Central Moravian Church Invites Community to Celebrate Christmas Traditions in Bethlehem

Posted On November 20, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is welcoming residents and visitors to a month of Christmas traditions, music, worship, and historic experiences. As one of the city’s oldest congregations, the church continues to shape celebrations in The Christmas City with events that offer both reflection and joy.

A highlight of the season is the Christmas Putz, an intricate nativity display that opens November 28 and runs through December 31 at the Christian Education Building. Visitors can view the display Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m., and daily from December 26 to 31. The exhibit is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Guests are also invited to browse the Star & Candle Shop and enjoy free historic tours of the 1751 Old Chapel and 1803 Sanctuary on Friday and Saturday afternoons. These tours offer insight into Bethlehem’s heritage and its connection to other UNESCO-recognized Moravian sites.
