Patio season is almost here, and Lehigh Valley Patio Palooza 3 presented by Banko Beverage Co. is back to celebrate the best outdoor spots in the region.

This year, we’re adding something new! 

Along with voting for your favorite restaurant, bar, beer garden, or outdoor dining space, you can also enter the 🏡 Home Patio Edition by submitting your own backyard patio, deck, porch, or outdoor oasis.

The winning restaurant or bar patio will be part of a summer celebration at their location.

TAPS over Bethlehem Returns Memorial Day with 61 Trumpets Across the City (VIDEO)

On Memorial Day morning, a single solemn melody will move through Bethlehem, passed from musician to musician in a citywide act of remembrance.

The 13th annual TAPS over Bethlehem returns Monday, May 25, 2026, with 61 trumpet players lining the streets from Nisky Hill Cemetery to Memorial Park Cemetery. The first notes will sound at 8 a.m. from Nisky Hill Cemetery, beginning a continuous performance of “Taps” that carries across Bethlehem before ending at the flagpole in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The event began in 2014 through the vision of Dan Deysher, a World War II veteran, Liberty High School alumnus, Navy musician, and longtime Bethlehem resident who believed deeply in the power of a live bugler to honor fallen service members.

The Philly-based promotion will present PowerPro’s Bizarre Adventure on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Alburtis Area Community Center, bringing its live-action lucha spectacle, comic-book storytelling, anime-inspired visuals, and family-friendly wrestling to a new audience. Doors open at 5:15 p.m., with bell time at 6 p.m.

The Lehigh Valley Humane Society’s annual Garden Gala returns Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Petersell 1808 Home, bringing together an elegant afternoon of food, music, and fundraising to support animals who need critical veterinary care.
