“Bubble Soccer” Bounces Back into Bethlehem (PRESS RELEASE)

Posted On November 10, 2015 By lvwithlove In Blog /  1

Popular new sport returns to Celtic Classic Field, Saturday Nov. 14 at 10 a.m.

Bethlehem, Pa. (11/10/15) – The new sport of “Bubble Soccer” will bounce back into Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at “Celtic Classic Field” on the corner of Spring and Main streets in the city.

Five teams of five players each will compete during the event put on by the Bethlehem City Parks and Recreation Department, LehighValleywithLove.com, and Molly’s Irish Grille and Sports Pub.

The inaugural event, held June 6 in the same location, attracted hundreds of spectators and news outlets. Following the event, many curious residents were able to get up close and personal with the new sport and it’s bouncy technology.

Participants will don “bubble suits” from the Philadelphia-based company, BumpBall (www.bumpball.org) and play short soccer style games. Players are encouraged to bounce into each other as a way to block the other team’s progress or gain an advantage.

One champion will be crowned and all are invited to visit Molly’s Irish Grille and Sports Pub at 4 E. Fourth Street in Bethlehem immediately following the event.
