Getting out on a bike should feel exciting, not intimidating. That is the idea behind a new video series created by the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor in partnership with CAT–Coalition for Appropriate Transportation, with production support from Lehigh Valley with Love Media, to help more residents and visitors feel comfortable exploring THE LINK Trail Network.
THE LINK connects communities across the Lehigh Valley through a 125-mile network of multiuse trails built for recreation, transportation, and everyday outdoor time.
But for newer riders, the small questions can sometimes feel like big barriers. What kind of bike do I need? What should I bring? Is my seat the right height? How do I check my bike before a ride? And what exactly is trail etiquette?
This series answers those questions in a practical, approachable way, with local riders sharing simple tips along familiar Lehigh Valley trails. Across the videos, viewers can learn the ABCs of a quick bike safety check, how gears work, what to pack, how to carry items comfortably, how to choose the right bike, how to adjust for a better ride, and how to share the trail safely and respectfully.
The goal is simple: make biking THE LINK feel more familiar, more welcoming, and more fun.
Watch the full video series below, then use it as a starting point for your next ride on THE LINK.
