The Celtic Cultural Alliance is inviting the community to show off their Celtic talents during the 39th Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival, set for Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.
This year’s annual contests offer something for everyone, from bakers and writers to adventurous eaters ready to take on a festival favorite.
The Irish Soda Bread Muffin Baking Contest, sponsored by King Arthur Baking Company, welcomes bakers with treasured family recipes, original creations, gluten-free entries, and children’s submissions.
The Celtic Poetry Contest is open to writers of all ages. Entries should reflect the culture of the seven Celtic nations through traditions, arts, history, or literature. Personal stories about family, studies, or travel experiences are also welcome.
The always-popular Haggis Bowl 2026 will once again challenge 15 brave competitors to see who can eat a pound of haggis the fastest.
Each year, the Celtic Cultural Alliance looks forward to seeing patrons take part in these contests and celebrate Celtic heritage through food, writing, and friendly competition.
CCA will continue making major announcements throughout the summer as it prepares for the 39th presentation of the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival.
