JuxtaHub Hosts 24-Hour Drawing Performance with Anthony Smith Jr.

Posted On December 3, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

JuxtaHub is inviting the public into the creative process with a 24-hour live drawing performance by resident artist Anthony Smith Jr. in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. The free event runs from noon on December 7 to noon on December 8, 2025, at JuxtaHub’s arts and innovation center at 375 South 10th Street.

During the first 12 hours, Smith will create a large-scale drawing on a wall in an unfinished area of the building that is slated to become an art gallery and human movement studio. Visitors will be able to watch the artwork take shape in real time.

Beginning at midnight, he will then slowly erase the drawing line by line, transforming the piece as the hours pass. The experience will feature musical guest Planet Infamy, and the performance will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

JuxtaHub describes the event as an exploration of connection, reflection and endurance, aligning with its mission to bring together arts and technology under one roof. A time-lapse video of the full 24 hours will debut during JuxtaHub’s JuxTuesday open house on December 9, where Planet Infamy will perform live to the footage.

Families will also be able to enjoy snowflake crafts for kids and learn more about upcoming youth programs and opportunities at JuxtaHub.

The performance is free, but pre-registration is required due to limited space and timed entry. For details and registration information, visit: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfiISFi8afXe0ls6Vw_XWvJwy4pAu2DfEtA9Hvbifwiic354w/viewform
