It is the question everyone asks this time of year. Is Bethlehem really like a Hallmark movie?
Come find out. The holidays are here and there is so much to see and do in the Christmas City. From tree lightings to shopping, dining, trails, and shows, Bethlehem shines bright all season long.
In this new video, Anisa Hosseini from Dallas joins Jolie Lanning from Bethlehem to explore whether the city truly lives up to its holiday legend.
Their walk down Main Street answers that question almost immediately. With twinkling lights, horse-drawn carriages, and a community that greets each other by name, Bethlehem looks and feels like a movie set, only it is real.
Every corner of Bethlehem feels like its own scene. The pair discover:
-
Santa’s Shop where Santa Tom runs his Dear Santa store on Main Street.
-
Bach at Noon with the world-renowned Bach Choir performing in Central Moravian Church.
-
The Live Advent Calendar where the whole town gathers each night in December.
-
The Santa Crawl and festive cocktail trails that keep Main Street buzzing with laughter.
-
Christkindlmarkt at ArtsQuest with handmade art, gifts, and live glassblowing.
-
The Christmas City Follies at Touchstone Theatre, a local tradition that brings everyone together.
Anisa: “This is unreal. You actually live here?”
Jolie: “Yes. It is not a Hallmark movie, it is just Bethlehem.”
Celebrate the start of the season at the Bethlehem Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 28 at Payrow Plaza.
Gates open at 4:30 PM and the program begins at 5 PM.
Because here, you do not have to watch the movie, you can be in it.
