DRUM TAO Brings Thunderous Rhythm and Artistry to Zoellner Arts Center on January 23 (WATCH VIDEO)

Posted On January 13, 2026 By lvwithlove In Community News /

Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University will welcome the internationally acclaimed Japanese ensemble DRUM TAO on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 7:30 pm. The performance takes place in Baker Hall as part of Zoellner’s Presenting Series.

Direct from Japan, DRUM TAO arrives with its all-new production, The Best, a high-energy showcase blending traditional Japanese taiko drumming with modern choreography and theatrical staging. Known for their powerful, athletic performances, the ensemble combines massive taiko drums, flutes, harps, and striking visual design to create a dynamic live experience.

DRUM TAO has performed for more than 10 million spectators worldwide, selling out venues in 26 countries. Their achievements include a sold-out Off-Broadway debut in 2016, the launch of the long-running Tokyo production MANGEKYO, and the opening of a permanent outdoor theater, TAO no Oka, in Japan’s Aso Kuju National Park. Most recently, the group completed a 100-day tour across the United States and Canada in 2024.

Tickets for the Zoellner Arts Center performance range from $39 to $49, with free admission for Lehigh University students. Tickets and additional details are available at zoellnerartscenter.org.
