New Instagram for Businesses Accounts Give Easier Exposure for Small Businesses

Posted On August 23, 2016 By lvwithlove In Blog /

Just last month, Instagram rolled out some Snapchat-like features in an effort to make it even more desirable for heavy users. More recently, Instagram added business features (that are easy to implement) that can help small business owners even if they are light users.

The need was simple. Instagram, unlike most other social media platforms, doesn’t allow for clickable weblinks in photo descriptions. Users are only able to have a clickable link in their main profile description. And while that still is the case with this new rollout, and it still may be frustrating not to share a link with your fancy new picture, Instagram’s new business profile features will at least make it easier for businesses to market themselves.

The new features allow for a business to include their address, a link, and link directly to a Facebook page that corresponds to their Instagram account. The Facebook page connectivity also allows for immediate posting of Instagram photos to said page, simply with a click of the share button. This shortcut is reason alone to go through the quick Instagram Business setup.
