Instagram Begins Allowing Multiple Account Logins

Posted On February 9, 2016 By lvwithlove In Blog /

Instagram has become a household social media platform for those who love sharing snapshots and quick videos of their lives, and a huge marketing tool for companies and organizations who want to target the multiple millions who log in each day.

One glaring feature on the app, however, was the ability to have multiple account logins. If a user wanted to switch from, say, their personal account to their business account, they would have to fully log out and input the business username and password.

While this method is kind of up there when it comes to a #firstworldproblem, it was still frustrating when nearly every other daily use social media platform, such as Twitter and Facebook, make it incredibly easy to switch between personal and business accounts.

Users on iOS can begin to look for the option as of the publication of this article.

Early screenshots look pretty straightforward with the ability to switch between accounts without having to reenter passwords. Notifications for all accounts will appear to users with notations as to which account they apply to.

There isn’t any official word on an Android update, but a beta multiple login for Instagram did appear on the platform in November. We would assume a full version would be following in the near future.
