Parisian Phoenix Publishing, a Lehigh Valley-based independent publisher, is celebrating a major milestone: 50 books released in five years.
Founded officially in 2021 by print journalist Angel R. Ackerman and graphic designer Gayle Hendricks, the Easton-area publisher has grown from a faculty art show project at Northampton Community College into a full-service traditional publishing, editorial services, and self-publishing support company.
The company’s 50th official release is Absolution, the fifth novel in Ackerman’s Fashion and Fiends series, described as “horror with a woman’s touch.” The series blends supernatural creatures with the world of high fashion, with scenes set in Paris, global destinations, and local Pennsylvania communities including Upper Mount Bethel Township, Easton, Bethlehem, and Portland.
Parisian Phoenix has expanded its reach well beyond the Lehigh Valley, with books placed in stores across nine states and events or placements at 43 stores nationwide, including several Barnes & Noble locations. Its catalog includes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s books, erotica, and self-publishing support through several imprints.
