23rd Annual Turkey Trot brings festive fun to Bethlehem on Nov. 29

Posted On October 31, 2025 By lvwithlove In Community News /

The holiday season kicks off with one of Bethlehem’s favorite traditions: the 23rd Annual Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Walk, returning Saturday, Nov. 29, at 9 a.m. Presented by Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s, the event draws hundreds of runners, joggers, walkers, and families to the city’s Historic District in support of Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites.

Participants will start at the 1869 Luckenbach Mill and follow a scenic route through the Colonial Industrial Quarter and Moravian Church Settlements–Bethlehem, the nation’s newest World Heritage Site.

This year’s Turkey Trot introduces a new twist: the popular costume contest now includes both people and pets. Runners are encouraged to don their best holiday or race-themed attire, with prizes for the most spirited individual and group costumes.

“It’s always amazing to see how creative our runners get,” said an event organizer. “It’s a fun way to celebrate the season and support local history at the same time.”

Awards will also be given to top finishers across expanded youth divisions, and every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt, refreshments, and free admission to HBMS’s Trees of Historic Bethlehem exhibition.

The race supports HBMS’s historic preservation and education programs that help keep Bethlehem’s rich history alive.
